The International Universal Health Coverage Day is on December 12th, and the International Day of Neutrality is important for humanitarian agencies: 

• International Universal Health Coverage Day

  This day highlights progress towards universal health coverage (UHC), which is the goal of providing quality health services to everyone, without financial hardship. The UN General Assembly designated December 12th as UHC Day in 2017. The day is a rallying point for the movement to ensure that everyone has access to equitable healthcare. 

• International Day of Neutrality

  Neutrality is important for humanitarian agencies to: 
  • Access beneficiaries and provide aid 
  • Communicate with all parties to ensure their buildings are not affected during armed violence 
  • Work with host governments to import medicines and secure visas for staff
